Educational programs on organ and tissue donation are available on-line. They were all developed for students in various age ranges. Some are interactive. All are designed to provide teachers as well as students with accurate and interesting information on organ and tissue donation. Materials for educators are available from Donate Life NC. The materials were tailored for Driver's Education Classes, but many of them can easily be adapted to other classroom or educational settings. A lesson plan, quiz, homework assignment and videos are available at http://www.donatelifenc.org/content/materials-educators as free downloads or you may order free hard copies, including a "Stories of Hope" DVD featuring four videos for classroom use. Decision: Donation, a multi-faceted curriculum developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to help high school students make more informed decisions about donation is also available online. Lessons that incorporate instruction in Biology, English, Math and Social Studies are included. The web address is www.organdonor.gov/student. | |||||||||||
