Two educational programs on organ and tissue donation are available on-line. They were all developed for students in various age ranges. Some are interactive. All are designed to provide teachers as well as students with accurate and interesting information on organ and tissue donation. The curriculum, A License to Give, was produced by the North Carolina Coalition on Donation to meet the objectives of the North Carolina Department of Instruction for students taking Healthful Living classes. A teacher's guide and student workbook for 9th grade students may be downloaded from our web site. Teachers may also obtain a copy of the accompanying video by calling LifeShare at (704) 697-3303. Decision: Donation, a multi-faceted curriculum developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to help high school students make more informed decisions about donation is also available online. Lessons that incorporate instruction in Biology, English, Math and Social Studies are included. The web address is www.organdonor.gov/student. | |||||||||||||
