Writing Letters

Many donor families and transplant recipients find comfort in exchanging letters. For the family of a donor, a letter can bring a sense of peace, as they learn about the person who received their loved one's gifts. Transplant recipients often want to say thank you and learn more about the person who saved their life.

Write to Your Donor's Family

As a transplant recipient, you may want to write to your donor's family to express condolences and share your thanks. You may find these guidelines helpful in writing and sending your letter.

Write to Your Loved One's Recipient

Give to LifeShare Carolinas

Your generous donation can help LifeShare save lives. Financial gifts help fund our public education efforts, which inspire more people to give the gift of life. Donations also support our donor families through our Bridge to Healing program.

Memorial Gifts

A contribution to LifeShare is a heartfelt way to honor a donor’s gift of life. This is also a way to celebrate a transplant anniversary or memorialize someone who has touched your life.

Wills or Trusts

Include specific wording in your will or trust naming LifeShare as the beneficiary of a testamentary gift. Choose a dollar amount, percentage of your estate, or the residue of your estate.

Host a Fundraiser

Golf tournaments, lemonade stands, dinner parties… the options are endless. Want to host an event or online fundraiser? We can help. Visit this page(opens in new tab) to start the process.

There are many other ways you can support our mission of giving hope, life, and healing.
