Every April, we celebrate National Donate Life Month. It’s a time to honor the heroes who gave life through organ, eye, and tissue donation. We also celebrate the second chances made possible by transplants. This year at LifeShare, we’re celebrating in a fun new way – giving our supporters the chance to be a part of the mission.
Shop LifeShare Swag
Throughout the month of April, we’re selling some of our most coveted t-shirts. Swifties can proudly sport an In My Lifesaving Era shirt. Book lovers can encourage others to Change the Ending of Someone’s Story. We’re also offering simple logo shirts and a water bottle. Every purchase supports the LifeShare Carolinas Fund, which furthers our mission of giving hope, life, and healing.

How Donations Make a Difference
Purchases from our store and direct donations can make an impact in many ways. The LifeShare Carolinas fund can be used to support the families of our organ, eye, and tissue donors. Below are some examples of what different dollar amounts can provide for our families.
The LifeShare Carolinas Fund also supports our work to educate our communities about the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation through initiatives like our Beyond the DMV program.
Support In Other Ways
There are other ways to help. Contributions can be made in any dollar amount for a one-time donation or a recurring gift. Donations can be made in honor of a donor or transplant recipient. When that happens, the donor’s family or the recipient being honored is notified of the gift.
If you want to help in other ways, here are a few options to consider.
- Designate LifeShare to receive memorial contributions in lieu of flowers
- Make a contribution from an individual retirement account
- Name LifeShare Carolinas as a beneficiary in your will, trust, or life insurance policy
